This is Your Monthly Update on Current Real Estate Conditions in Palatine Illinois (home sale, property, land statistics)

This update is as of of March 14, 2012.  Currently - there are 213 single family homes on the market, ranging in price from $100,000 to $1,780,000. 

During the past month - 18 properties have closed, ranging in price from $145,000 to $248,000.   There are currently 84 properties under contract - of which quite a few are short sale properties (that may not close at all.) 

In the townhome and condo market in Palatine, there are currently 326 listed properties ranging in price from $29,000 to $950,000. During the past month - 43 properties closed, ranging in price from $32,000 to $240,000.  A total of 153 condos and townhomes are under contract (many of which are short sale properties that have languished under contract for months.)   

There are 55 listings for land, though no land has closed during the past month.  There are two pieces of land under contract -- one for $75,000 and one for $375,000.

The market is certainly starting to heat up - with many more buyers looking for properties as the temperatures warm.  (We are receiving quite a few calls from buyers wanting to use our services lately, and have just a few more openings for clients.)
