Lake Oconee home buyers recommend Jeanne Dufort was the subject of a recent blog I did, inspired by a post-closing letter I received from one of my satisfied buyers.
Today's post is inspired by a lovely email I received today from Patsy and Ben. I spent Wednesday afternoon showing them around Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee.
You could tell it was going to be a fun time when Patsy greeted me with a big smile and a hug, and exclaimed "I feel like we already know one another"! We had exchanged several emails and a phone call or two in preparation for our big day - so I definitely shared the feeling.
We spent more than an hour at the bank-owned craftsman home on a private estate lot that had attracted them in the first place. We discussed the pros and cons, and the deferred upkeep that would have to be addressed - typical of bank-owned properties.
We also visited some lake-access lots, and talked about building costs. We wrapped up with a visit to the Lake Club at Reynolds Plantation - a truly amazing facility. As we parted, Ben asked me to send him some additional information about Reynolds Plantation membership options and fees.
The following day, I sent them the updated 2012 fee schedule for memberships, golf, and the marinas. Imagine my delight to receive this in response:
"We do so appreciate the new information, your preparation time before our meeting and the time you gave to us on Wednesday. You should train realtors on how to act: professional yet empowering potential buyers to make wise choices. Again, we thank you for answering our 1000's of questions and showing us what we wanted to see. You were truly professional in every respect; we are grateful for your assistance."

... professional, yet empowering...
Patsy captured my style perfectly! At least what I strive for everyday.
I have no idea whether Patsy and Ben will decide to make Lake Oconee home - that is a big decision and one they will make carefully. I'm just glad that I've been a piece of their process, and that they appreciate my giving approach.
Today is a very good day in real estate - thanks, Patsy and Ben!
