Sherburne History Center Explores Genealogy

The Sherburne History Center offers a wide variety of public programming throughout the year. Guest speakers have given presentations on preserving family treasures as well as on interesting stories of Sherburne County's history.

On Saturday, March 31, 10:30 am to noon there will be a new class-Genealogy Class: Searching for Those European Ancestors Please call the History Center at 763.262.4433 to register or email Mike Brubaker.

The Center is located at 10775 27th Ave SE, Becker, Sherburne County, Minnesota 55308

There are two exhibits currently on display:

Life on the Edge

museum Life on the Edge is our semi-permanent exhibit featuring the history of Sherburne County

Communities

ball gown Our temporary Communities exhibit is currently Great Stories...Cool Stuff. It will be showing through May, 2010.

Our library collection includes family histories, plat books, county newspapers on microfilm, census records, naturalization records, church histories, business histories, subject and biography files, and numerous oral histories.

Our archival collection includes thousands of photographs, probate records, collections of county clubs and organizations, original church records, school records, and more.
