Planning to Contribute time throughout the New Year!

VolunteeringThe Holiday Cheer is here! At this time of the year, I always get excited and think about others that are less fortunate. There are so many different charities that we all can contribute to and because it's the Holiday, we tend to give more time and money to these charities. So in the spirit of giving, I have decided to make volunteering my time to a local organization a part of my business plan. I am not exactly sure which organization ( I am currently doing research), but it doesn't take much to give a little of your time. I also thought this would be something my son and I could do together. He is about to turn 14 years old and it is important that he understands that helping others benefits us all. It will not only benefit the community, but your spirit. I am leaning more towards working with the youth or something to help benefit the youth. I was also thinking about volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. There are so many options.

Habitat For Humanity With all this said, I was curious as to how involved the Active Rain Community is? Are you apart of an organization? If so, what Organization and why? How much time do you dedicate to this cause and do you encourage others to do the same? Please share.

Some really great ideas here D'Adrea.  Giving and sharing with others is the key to our blessings.  Let me know how this works out.  I would like to help in some of the activities so keep me in the loop.  Mom.

This is something that is really true to my heart. I believe that you have to give to the community! This helps build the economy as well as help the people in need. I believe we are all in need right about now!

Thanks for the comment, mom!
