Moderate to strong housing market
The Columbus Board of Realtors says sales prices for central Ohio homes in February increased over the previous year, with the average sale price of $151,072. That was 7.3% higher than February 2011 -- and 5.7% higher than the previous month. This marks the second time in a row that Central Ohio housing sales increased. The 1,215 sales were an 8% increase over the previous month, and a 5% increase over February 2011.
The Ohio Housing Market Confidence Survey indicates that 88% of central Ohio Realtors expect the Columbus market to remain moderate to strong in the next six months, and 84% expect home prices to remain the same or rise by half a percent. The current optimism seems to be based on solid evidence. We are very pleased to see this positive trend!

Joe, It is great to see how far our housing market has come in such a short time.
