I Promise I did not make this up......

You guys, on my best days, I couldn’t conjure up stories like this – But this is a true story.

And how I came to know about it – Mandatory CORE – CE credits (more at the end)

It appears that a 300lb Pet Pig – better known as a “Service Animal” was allowed to board an Airline  flight from Philadelphia to Seattle – the airline had no choice – it was a “Service Animal” remember!

Well the Department of Justice (DOJ) finally said enough was enough and changed the rules:

Service Animals

Beginning on March 15, 2011, only dogs are recognized as service animals under titles II and III of the ADA.

In addition to the provisions about service dogs, the Department’s revised ADA regulations have a new, separate provision about miniature horses that have been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.

Maybe this landlord had "rules" against "horse shoes" making noise? Sneakers on a horse?

So at the end of that 7 hour MANDATORY course I did learn something, and you should also, whether you do “rentals” or not – this may affect your buyer also

No longer can they claim their, pig, monkey, cat, rat, snake……… as a “service animal”!

But that horse – you better not question them on it!

Thought I would share the thoughts of what’s been running around my head for the past couple of days

Note: You are allowed to make up “rules” as long as they are reasonable?

Like?

No Galloping after 8:00pm?

No Neighing - unless between the hours of 8-5?

..

….

Disclaimer: I am an animal lover, we have a 1 horse, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 turtles, 1 bird, and 4 chickens, and 1 Turken - but I do keep them at home when I go out.

Obviously by some of the photos above, these animals have a true purpose and should be welcomed - but please do not abuse the rules!
