3rd Annual Halifax Oyster Festival
Manatee Island Park in Downtown Daytona Beach will be the site of the 3rd Annual Halifax Oyster Festival on April 28, 2012 from 11 AM to 9 PM - Rain or Shine!
Free parking. Admission is $6 and kids under 7 are free. Each paid admission gets you a $5 gift card for area restaurants.
Lots of oysters at 2 oyster pits serving raw and steamed oysters. There will be lots of other food and beverages available with more than half a dozen local restaurants and vendors serving everything from Ahi Tuna to burgers, seafood, beer, mixed drinks and wine.
Activities include a kids zone with clowns and face painting and other fun things for the youngsters.
The Halifax Sailing Association will be providing FREE sailboat rides on a 25’ sailboat. Paddleboard demonstrations and games and an art exhibit will provide hours of entertainment. The music begins at Noon with live entertainment on 2 stages continuing until 9 PM.
Proceeds are to help local oyster bed restoration projects.

Manatee Island Park
Manatee Island Park is right behind the Josie Rogers House at 355 North Beach St. in Downtown Daytona Beach. From International Speedway Blvd go North on Beach St at the bottom of the bridge and proceed past the News-Journal Center and the Harley store and you will see the Josie Rogers house on the right.
