Active Rain Members: I wanted to recommend something that can only enhance your business. I recently utilized a recommendations option on my Linkedin profile. This option sends an email to Linkedin clients asking them for feedback. The email asks for an opinion of my work with them and allows it's participants to add additional skill sets with other enhanced feedback options. Within my brief letter I also offered reciprocal feedback which is something I should strive to do more of. I was a little surprised to see how quickly my feedback arrived. 4 of the 8 folks I requested sent feedback within a few hours. It really felt great to read and already has made a positive impression to prospective clients. I wanted to share this idea and recommend, for many reasons, you ask your clients for feedback. There are several ways to get this type of information but this particular website worked quickly with an extremely nice format. I can now plug this positive feedback into my website, active rain profile, as well as many other online vehicles. I usually gather feedback annually but will now use Linkedin's version much more frequently. Most of us tend to ask for the business but often forget to ask for the recommendations. Below is the email I sent to current/former clients last night as well as the 4 responses.
