Here are some Sales Statistics for Santa Clara County. This represents a good portion of Silicon Valley. Jobs numbers are up--a good sign-- and housing sales have increased as the chart shows. This is welcomed news. Numerous press reports that sale prices have increased across the nation, and median sale prices have increased for the first time since January, 2006. It has been a long time, with flat prices, but it looks like a recovery has finally taken a foothold, and the market is definitely in transition. You can see that prices are up just about 10% year over year. The following represents Santa Clara County only, and the data is from Realist:
