Lake Bonavista: Was the first community in Canada to include a man made lake.
Established in 1967 with a 52-care lake.
Midnapore: Home to a number of historic buildings like the two early 20th century churches and the Lacomber Renewal Centre established in 1977, with a 30-acre lake.
Sundance: Great location close to Fish Creek park. It has well established schools and great school bus services.
Established in 1982 and built around a 33-acre lake.
McKenzie Lake: Close to Fish Creek park and McKenzie Meadows Golf Course.
Expanded in mid 90s with a 43-acre man-made lake.
Chaparral: Named for the Mediterranean climate biome.
Established in 1995 with a 32-acre lake.
Auburn Bay: Located immediately to the north of the new South Health Campus (scheduled to open in summer 2012)
New community with 43-acre lake.
Mahogany: A mixed use community developed by Hopewell Residential Communities.
Approved for development in 2007, it hosts the largest lake in Calgary, 84-acres of combined lake and beachfront (63 acres of lake).
