FAQ ABOUT HOME STAGING - Will the Staging pay for itself?

Will the Staging pay for itself? I don't mind doing it if I will get my money's worth. A FAQ ABOUT HOME STAGING

As a Burlington Stager, my clients want to know if Staging is worth their time and money especially if I have recommended a major change.

The sale of a home is influenced by Price, Location, Terms and Condition. Staging deals with Condition.

I cannot guarantee that the house will sell for a higher price if you Stage. I cannot control all the factors affecting your sale.

So, what will Staging do for your sale?

Staging will bring your home closer to 'move-in' condition which is one of the 'I wants' of Buyers.

Staging will improve your MLS photos. Most Buyers start looking on the Internet today. Your photos need to make them put your house on their short list to visit.

Staging will help you make that great first impression when the Buyers come to view your home.

Staging will highlight the best features of your home. This may lead them to decide the positives outweigh the negative (like a poor location) in your home.

Staging may include updating or upgrading some of those features. This is what  brings you closer to move in condition.

Staging will help you compete with the other houses on the market.

Staging was created to sell houses in the shortest possible time for the best possible price.

Isn't it worth it?

Janice - Great tips and suggestions as to why a seller should stag their home, and the benefits they can expect to get from staging.  Excellent post!

In most cases, YES! The cost of staging will pay for itself.  And for those on a budget...a little staging is better than none at all!

Staging does really help Gene! It can pay off in less time on the market or a better offer or better photos etc.

I find that staging helps when a home has a strange floor plan and you can't tell what a particular room is used for.

Very true Cynthia. Buyers need to see what the space is for and how well it works.

Janice, of course it will. Just think about quick sale and compare staging cost with the possible price reduction! Congrats on finishing all 10 posts. All great questions to answer.

Thanks Anna! You are right, staging is about 1 to 3% of the list while the first price reduction is about 5%. Pay now or pay later.
