Dane County inventory remains well below last year's levels

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Preferred, Madison, Wisconsin

It's a better year for Dane County sellers because more people are buying this year. Another big reason is fewer Dane County listings are on the market. As the graph below shows, Dane County home and condo inventory is the lowest it's been since 2005.

Of course every market is unique - by neighborhood, by price range, and by property type. Some markets are strong sellers markets right now, while others remain very strong buyer markets.

For example, the market for homes priced under $250,000 on Madison's near west side is a hot sellers market, while the market for any condo in Madison remains a strong buyers market.
