This is going to be short and sweet, so many people come to Arizona to play golf that we probably have more golf courses than schools. At least in Sun City West we do. Community golf courses "7" schools "0". Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Sun City West is an Active Adult, 55+ community. So, no schools and for the most part no school tax. Yes there are some annexed areas that do have school tax but for the majority of homes it is a great big NO!

Golfing, however, is a great big YES!!! Besides the 7 courses operated by the Recreation Centers there are two more, Hillcrest Golf Club, a public course and Briarwood Country Club at Sun City West, a private course. Hillcrest is a 5 time host to the Senior PGA Tour and a 2 time host to the LPGA tour, not bad credentials.

Sun City west is the self acclaimed Premier Active Adult Golf Community. There is so much concentration on golf there was even a huge vote in the community that centered around it, but that was a topic of another blog. the bottom line is, if you want to golf, live for golf and want to play golf all year there is no better place to live or visit than Sun City West Arizona. Where it is sunny more than 300 (more like 340) days a year.
