Baby Wren's leave the nest in Spring TX!

By
Real Estate Agent with Results Realty

We had a family of Wren's make their nest in the wall of our outdoor kitchen! Wow did we watch Mom and Pop work! I expect there are not a lot of bugs left in our back yard! I was quite excited to see several spiders go there way. After having plastic surgery from a brown recluse bite I think the only good spider is a dead spider.

We had friends over and were out in the back yard having dinner when we were privileged to get to watch the a family of baby wrens leave the nest. We were not sure what the heck was going on when Mom started Squawking from the trellis. All of a sudden we noticed the fake flower they had made a nest in start to shake and then a small wren appeared clinging on. The stronger babies started first and flew clear across the yard. We had thought there were maybe 3 to 4 baby wrens in the nest so were in for a shock when 7 to 8 left the nest!

I still can't figure how they were all crammed in there but what fun to watch them fly across the yard to the trees on the other side. There was quite a bit of time between the first birds and those left behind. The last few baby wrens were not so strong and as you can see from the video spent some time on our outdoor kitchen but they finally all made it. What fun to watch God's creation leave the nest!

Marchel, I called in my 8 years old daughter to watch your pictures together. If was so much fun. Last year we found the nest in our backyard and was watching it from the egg stage to the little birdies with the beaks as big as their heads. It was amazing.  We have to meet for coffee.

Hi Marcel,

Great slide show and how exciting to have an active nest with 7-8 baby birds. I have heard it is very good luck to have a bird nest in your yard. So sorry about the spider bite but glad you are OK now. I agree with your comment on spiders. I love taking nature pictures but spiders are out....Hate them.

Hello, Maechel!  That is a great video.  We have LOTS of finches in our yard. What a blessing God gave us in the birds. Why would they be here except for us to enjoy!

We had mule deer in our yard often but that was before we got a dog. He lives to chase anything that moves, especially the deer.
