Good evening Friends,
This will be my first post in over a month.. I thought I would write about some life experiences, and how the Lord gets the honor and glory in all of them...
The last month has been pretty hard for us here. We have had a number of health issues to deal with, some business issues,
and on top of all that, when you deal with multiple problems at the same time, the enemy always tries to bring a spirit of discouragement into the mix..
I have had a rough time over the past 30 to 40 days, but I thank the Lord for all my friends here, and for the encouragement
I have gotten from many of you. First of all, everyone is alive and healthy.. My son Joe Jr. has to have another ct scan in a week or so, but I know it will be fine.
I was praying and talking to the Lord about all we have been going through, and felt His leading to share this with you all..
Many people are going through very hard times right now. God wants to be our peace. When you think of what happens when there is a flood, you see a picture of water on every side. This is kind of like when you are being hit from every side. Health issues, financial, relationships, etc... On and on.. The devil wants to eat us for lunch, but God has already secured the victory for us in Christ Jesus! The blood of Jesus has made us free!
Ok, back to the flood... I liken being flooded by the devil to getting hit from every side, and all at the same time.
Here is a wonderful promise from the Word of God in the book of Isaiah:
Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; for when the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him.
How AWESEOME! He is our present help in time of trouble... The word in Nahum 1:7 says The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knoweth them who trust in Him.
My dear friends, I hope you are encouraged by the fact that when it seems like the flood waters are about to go over our heads, the Lord is always there to rescue us. Not a second too late, but always allowing our faith the opportunity to be tested, and to grow.
Whatever you might be going through, please hang in there! He won't let you down..
In Psalm 37, David said "I have been young, and now am old, yet have I never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread".. David knew that no matter what kind of mess he found himself in, the Lord was always there to rescue him. He is just as much there for us today as He was for David then..
You all have a blessed evening, and rest in the peace that He is in control of whatever you might be going through!
I think this word was for me, but I hope it encouraged you all also.
