What do Customers really want?

I was listening to a cd today and it pointed out some very interesting points of what customers want.   I used to think the rule was be available 24/7, but that burns you out and you start making mistakes.  I think clients really want the following:

1.  Stay in Touch

2.  Save Time and Money

3.  Fair and Honest

4.  No SURPRISES

5.  Make it Easier

6.  Input from us

Each client that walks away from the closing table happy with me, is the potential for many more clients down the road.  Keeping them happy is my goal.

There is a genealogy to real estate.  For example, if you take great care of your first clients, they will grow your family of clientele.

As the old saying goes...... The major difference that causes me to stand out above my competition is the way I treat the customer. Nice post!

Thanks Will, wise words to build a business on. Unfortunately, over the years I have failed to keep in touch far too often.

Slam dunk list!  Make it easier.  That's my favorite.  I used to think 24-7 was where it's at.  Not any more.  Congrats on the feature.

Wow.  Great list put simply and clearly.  If you're communicating with your clients in this manner it's no surprise they're having a great experience.  I believe #6 is important --- more than we realize.  Our customers are looking to us for advice.  Not "perhaps," or "maybe," or "I think."  We have to take a stance and be the expert.  That means we risk being wrong, but it's a risk we have to take.  If our customers want to stay in the no-man's-land of grey area, they can do that just by reading the news.  They need us to break it down to reality, and we need to understand that's a big part of our jobs.

Great post.  Congrats on the feature.

Good communication and the ability of the agent to listen and to understand.

find them the estate at half price and then sell their hut for the same price.

Easy enough.
