Hi Everyone,

This may not be the post you were expecting from me today.. I will have another post later today or tomorrow on my Panda Recovery series, but this post needs to be sent..

The Smith family has a new member!

Anya Mae came into the world at 3:32 A.M. Sunday Morning...

Since we all are becoming friends here on ActiveRain, this will be a great opportunity to introduce you to my family and I...

You know, business is great, life is great, but at the end of the day, my family is the most valuable and precious thing that God has brought into my life!

I consider myself to be incredibly blessed to have a wonderful wife, 4 children (ages 9 to 33), 4 grandchildren (ages 1 day to 19 years), 1 great grandchild (age 1).. For a 52 year old man, I have so so much to be thankful for!

Many people ask me why I am always so cheerful and upbeat.. This is why! There is nothing more that I could ever ask or expect out of life.. I have SO SO much to be thankful for.

Thank you all for reaching out and commenting..
I will reply to all your comments when I come up for air..
We currently have one of our granddaughters over here to give Joe Jr. and Monica a break while they settle in with Anya.

It has bee a little (LOT!) crazy around here with Alexys and Benjamin spending this week together..

Will be back on radar later today or tomorrow morning..

Baby Anya is doing WONDERFULLY!

I have a tradition, when a grandbaby is born, I give a bouquet of flowers to the mother, and one long stem
rose for the baby.. I bought the rose below for Anya, and it AMAZINGLY bloomed to be bigger than her head.
There is no trick photography in this, look at Monica's hand holding the rose, and compare the size of it to Anya's head.. I have never seen a rose so BIG, and it felt it was my loving Father putting His hand of approval on Anya, and
showing His love for her.. I know, kind of funny, but you would have to see it to believe it..
