If you are looking for authentic family style Italian food on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, check out Mama Terano Restaurant on Deep Valley Drive in Rolling Hills Estates. The food is excellent and is a great value. The owner of the restaurant is Robert Bell, who is also the owner of the very popular South Bay Restaurant Chez Melange.
They serve a flatbread pizza that is just delicious and very unusual for most Italian restaurants. The ultra thin crust is more like the pizza you actually get in Italy. If you go on a Sunday, this is family night where they only have one menu which is a 5 course meal served family style, so if you want their regular menu, you need to pick another night.
