In a world of shady people, it's important to have good intuation about who is normal and who is shifty. Remember to always use your better judgment with people you meet, because if they don't get too chatty about things like your address, your social security number and so on, they're probably not bad folks. Be alert, yes, but keep your heart intact.

I Picked Up A Stranger Today And Will Do It Again. I lean on the side of caution so I would never pick someone up on the side of the rode. I would stop to offer to call for help but put myself in a position to get hurt, I just wouldn't do.
So then why would I Picked Up A Stranger And Will Do It Again? My husband and I were eating dinner at a local restaurant
last night and had such a nice, friendly, young waitress. We found out that she was new to town, the wife of a soldier, they hadn't met very many people and she was having to take a taxi to work everyday. They had a second car but had hit a deer and wrecked it so it couldn't be driven. Her husband worked during the day and couldn't get off in time to get her to her evening work shift.
So what did I do? I offered to be her taxi service and take her to work whenever I could. Her apartment is less than 5 minutes from my office and her job is less than seven minutes away. I just couldn't see this nineteen year old spending $15 out of her waitress pay to hire a taxi to get her to work every single day. I found out that on most days her husband can pick her up after her shift is over. So I can help out on most days getting her to work.
My husband and I were so impressed that she was trying to work and better herself and didn't quit and give up when she wrecked her car. Terra gladly accepted my offer to help and we exchanged names and phone numbers. Today was my first taxi shift. It took maybe 15 minutes total of my day but gave my so much more back in knowing I did the right thing.
This is only the beginning. I Picked Up A Stranger Today And Will Do It Again and Again. Pretty soon she won't be a stranger she will be just a friend that I am helping out from time to time.
