And last but not least, a fabulous mid-to-late 18th C historic homeStone mill in Brandywine 100 is  for sale in Brandywine Hills, the northernmost part of Wilmington. I thought it was really early, and then I looked at the joists, which are trees!    It was the home of Henry Webster, who was born around 1738 in Brandywine Hundred and died in 1806. He had a gristmill on the Shellpot Creek.  The mill burned down in 1858 (they were often swept away in storms or destroyed by fire) Colonail era Home in Wilmingtonand we have a picture (right) of it around 1885, a quite substantial stone building with outbuildings. With thick stone walls, this 4 bedroom house with 2 baths is set on one-third of an acre, with a detached garage and formal gardens.  For full information on this Colonial era home for sale in Wilmington click here to see this historic home presented by Carolyn Roland.
