Room Color Combinations-Part 2

By

This is part two, and the last installment of my room color combination favorites.  I'm going to jump right in!  Photos are taken from my Pinterest wall.

Earth tones and muted colors: Below, this room feels very "earthy" and natural.  Muted colors are used to blend with, but not disturb, the earth tones.

Neutral wall with red and white: The curtains and pillows are clearly the focal point in this photo.  A neutral wall color helps to draw your attention to the focal point; making the colors bolder than ever.

Light, bright and airy: The mellow, muted colors of this room give a feeling of relaxation.  This room mixes well together because two primary colors were used (blue and yellow) and one secondary color (green).  It makes sense since blue and yellow make green!

Grey tones = modern chic: The grey tones in this room give a feeling of chic.  The pop of color on the coffee table keep this room visually interesting and free from black and white dullness.

Red can be playful: This room doesn't exude fun only because of its modern/art deco style; the red in this room is also used with pink and orange.  This gives a fun twist to a regular modern style.  White is also used to keep the room simple.

Nice!   Nothing like a photo to remind us of the impact of colour on our surroundings.
