Give Time To The Unknown To See The Whole Picture

See The Whole PictureIn new situations that crop up between people in business relationships or personal relationships it is so easy for all of us to jump to conclusions, and maybe even assess something at its worst. Then we shoot off our mouth or write something and we TOTALLY do not have what's going on REALLY in the situation. As a caution to gather information remember to

Give Time To The Unknown To See The Whole Picture.

What is the rush anyway? Tomorrow will come, and the day after that, and the day following that one. Proper understanding is better than shooting from the hip. You don't have to wait forever to see what people's actions reveal as truth to you over their words but you don't have to GUESS at one day either.

Better to get things right than HARM others with our ill timed conclusions that with no time to digest something could be TOTALLY WRONG.

many people shoot from the hip and hit themselves in the eye and thus are unable to see.

Take a deep breathe and rethink it.

Gary, these are very wise words. It is amazing how quickly people jump to conclusions, form opinions, make decisions without the benefit of all the facts. People seem unwilling to exercise the patience necessary to actually do the research. How else can you justify the way we do politics in this country? Where a sound bite taken out of context is spun into a message completely contrary to the original message. It amazes me that this works and so both sides employ the tactic.

Thanks,

Cal

Hi Gary, Excellent commentary and a subject that seems to be very prevalent in our lives today. Oddly with communications so instant, there is an ever greater chance of drawing the wrong conclusions good or bad to quickly.

You mean like jumping to the conclusion that somebody might be in jail when really there was a much more serious reason for a particular situation but without all the facts that seemed liked a plausible conclusion. By jumping to conclusions assumptions were made that were totally wrong. Making assumptions about someone that aren't accurate can definitely hurt someone.

Hi Gary,

You have a valid point..we do need to remember to take time and assess the total picture..jumping to conclusions can be devastating!
