8 Comments on Speechless Sunday - no shark is going to spoil a day at the beach in Hana Maui
I heard Jaws playing throughout this video. I can't believe those people were anywhere near the water with that sign prominently displayed.
I guess some folks aren't afraid of losing life or limb. Hopefully no one was hurt in the sighting or by ignoring the sign.
Hi Georgina,
In the past year we have had quite a few shark bites and a lot of sitings all over the US and beyond. It can be so dangerous if ignored. Thanks for sharing.
Georgina, maybe I'm wimping out, but I have no desire to stick my toes into any ocean where something would actually eat me...call me chicken...I'm good with that.
We have sharks in our waters everywhere but when they are spotted trolling along the shores, people are generally smart enough to get OUT of the water.
It reminds me the movie about a surfer girl who was bit by a shark. But even after loosing her arm and almost her life, she was back on her surf board...she could not imagine life without surfing....
Just popped into my mind: Soul Surfer !
Have you seen it? Based on a true story. The girl is from Kauai, Hawaii:))
Thanks for all the comments!
I haven't yet seen Soul Surfer about Betheny Hamilton, but she is well known as a very brave and strong girl!
