I am Passworded out!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WHISPERING PINES REALTY 20398180

In this day and age of computers and internet sites, we are told to make passwords hard and not to use the same one for any two.

I have tried, but this is hard.  I have been told "Don't write down your lo-gin and passwords in case of a break in and someone steals all of them.

I give up.  I can't come up with any more log in names or passwords.  NON delicate sites are getting the same password.  Security ones will get hard ones in which I have written them down ans stored in a safe place under my office chair so I have easy access to them.

I guess if this puts me at risk...SO BE IT!!!

An IT guy took 10 minutes to figure out my passwords whenever I forget and he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed if you know what I mean.

I have a folder with 3 pages of passwords - and they're not even hidden under my chair. What makes me crazy is when I forget to write something in that folder and have to go through the long, slow process of re-setting a password.

For the most part, I have 3 different ones that I use on almost everything. If anyone comes in here to steal them, my dogs have instructions to chase them back out with bite marks on their rears.

I have a few I rotate. If I forget I keep trying the other ones until I get in.

This password stuff is nuts.  I write every one of them down.  The odds that someone will steal my Etsy password is nil.

I use the same password for everything.  It's easy to remember and if someone wants to try to hack me, so be it.

Bill, I just don't get the...don't write down your password and user name...we have a gazillion passwords out there and I'm well into my second notebook of new and improved passwords...may it's easier to just make a really hard password...don't worry about remembering or writing it down...simply click the "I forgot" button and it's sent to you...hey it works for me, but I suppose even that will get a little cumbersome.
