Looking For Listings That Could Be Either Rented Or Sold

What happens when I have listings for rent and for sale?  I get calls on people looking for other listings for rent or for sale in other areas?

I think that sellers who are able to rent their home for a short term, like 6 months to 2 years have a great opportunity to attract good future buyers. At the same time you can still list your home for sale as well as for rent.

It is more likely that someone will rent the home, perhaps on a rent to own contract, instead of buying it.  The key is to attract a buyer who is working on financing but may be a few months off.

I have someone looking for a home in the Elk River area that is just a few months off with getting approved for a loan and a short term rent to own would work great for them. I also have someone looking in the Chisago county area for something to rent for about 6-7 months and then close on that home in April.

I understand not all sellers can offer this option but if you can do this let me know.

Hi Chuck -- it's nice for sellers to have choices -- while, this may not work for every seller -- if this situation is good for both parties, it could be a win-win.   Sometimes we need to think outside the box and come up with solutions.
