I was recently invited by Realtor.com to attend a free seminar in White Plains, Westchester highlighting the Top 10 Technologies & Tools for real estate.This seminar turned out to be fast paced and boy am I glad that I decided to cross the Tappan Zee bridge from Rockland, NY to attend. Some of the stuff I learned has already begun to work for us here at GPS real estate saving us money and keeping us ahead of the competition. I think one of the most important tips was how to keep your files safe with Dropbox.
Yes, we've been using Dropbox for some time as "Free" users, but the seminar made me sit up and realize that as I already had Dropbox why didn't I upgrade and avoid paying for expensive nightly backups to the "Cloud" via my tech company? Why not just go the team version of Dropbox? I made the call and after a couple of calls to the Dropbox team and an easy set up - We will now save $100 a month, AND have all our files kept secure but readily available where ever we are with access to the internet. Just that alone was worth my time. You can start trying it for FREE too here is the link, and I guarantee you that keeping files on your computer will soon become a thing of your past. Now every folder I would normally have kept on my computer is backed up inexpensively and available on all my devices, including my smart phone!
But there was more, lot's more, that I took away from that seminar, so much in fact that I am working my way through my notes and so far have been nothing less than delighted with the information that presenter Max Pigman and Steve Pacinelli of TechSavvyAgent.com shared. There were also some great offers available only at the seminar from Realtor.com. Well worth the time if you see one of this road show in your area.
