Murphy NC Early VotingHave you already VOTED in Murphy, NC? We took advantage of the quick one-stop voting at the Cherokee County Board of Elections office in the courthouse annex on Peachtree Street in downtown Murphy, NC today.

If you’ve got a busy schedule or are already downtown, why not take advantage of the quick and efficient polls? Early voting in Cherokee County already has exceeded numbers during the 2008 presidential election. This weeks edition of The Cherokee Scout  published that 3,657 had already cast ballots and almost 900 absentee ballots had been sent out too. A record for early voting!

There are 22,132 registered voters in Cherokee County NC and voters can continue to vote early, but Saturday, November 3rd from 9am to 1pm is the last early voting opportunity. Polls will be open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm Tuesday, November 6th in the 16 Cherokee County precincts. They are Andrews North, Andrews South, Bellview, Brasstown, Culberson, Grape Creek, Hanging Dog, Hiwassee Dam, Hothouse, Marble, Murphy North, Murphy South, Peachtree, Ranger, Topton and Unaka.  Make sure you GET OUT AND VOTE!
