Calgary real estate sales still on the rise in October with 23% increase in total residential sales over the same month last year, bucking a slower national trend! The latest market report released by CREB showed that since the beginning of the year 18,676 properties changed hands, raising the number of sales by 16% from the same period last year!
This higher demand for housing was not satisfied however by the same level of increase in inventory, leading the prices to go up as a result! In the Single Family Home market, the average price reached $492,508 in October, 8% up form last year. The same trend is also trace in both townhouse and apartment categories where prices increased 9% and 6% respectively! Read more.....
