La Jolla Farms is a tiny beachfront community at the northern end of La Jolla. It's located west of the University of California San Diego, only a couple of minutes away from the 5 Interstate and County Highway S21. This gorgeous 200-acre neighborhood is among the most coveted in all of San Diego. While the community is mostly residential, it’s also home to the Salk Institute, Torrey Pines Gliderport and Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa.

The chic and spacious homes of La Jolla Farms were developed in the 1970s and 80s. This upscale area is worth every penny due to its unrivaled architecture and picturesque views. Because it's located on a cliffside just above the beach, some of the homes boast seemingly endless vistas of the Pacific Ocean and sometimes even La Jolla Shores to the south. The more expensive homes are found along La Jolla Farms Road and Blackgold Road, while the gated Blackhorse Farms complex offers some cheaper options.
