Dahlias:  Autumn Flowers in Kentlands, Gaithersburg, MD


Maryland is know for its greenery.  Trees, plants and flowers love the climate in the region.  During autumn, the leaves are colorful and many of the flowers are still blooming. 

Dahlias are among the favorite flowers for summer and autumn blooms in Gaithersburg.  They are readily available in many colors.  It does not take an expert gardener to purchase dahlias at a Lowe's store or a local nursery and plant them in a home garden.  Dahlias work well in planters.

The dahlias in these photographs were blooming in our home garden.  Enjoy the colors of the season with your camera in hand.

Dahlia are among my favorite flowers, but then I don't think there is a flower I don't like! I used to grow them in Germany and was able to grow one here last Spring. It did NOT do well during the summer months.
