Trust and the Roads That Lead to Wisdom.

By
Industry Observer

It's a drizzly, cool night here tonight. The sound of tires on wet pavement travels across the field and in through my open doorway. While working on a new real estate designation, I found myself stopping many times and gazing at the wet windows and wondering.  Wondering what it is that brings someOld Oakville View people in business to become so untrustworthy. Is it money alone? I think not.

If we trust ourselves, we tend to trust others and exhibit that trust by being trustworthy.

When we trust someone, inherently and deeply trust them, it matters not what they say, we don't immediately question it as being wrong, because we trust them.
How many times can someone break our trust before we never wholly trust them again?

I pause in reflection as 'the rule of threes' comes to mind.  It is a universal law and has these variations:

~Spirit warns you twice, the third time you stand alone.

~Once is chance, twice is coincidence, three times is a pattern.

~Give benefit of the doubt twice, the third time it happens, you know that something is off base and you can no longer give the benefit of the doubt.

Sometimes life can seem like so much brilliance surrounding us. Then a new day will start and it seems like one thing after another goes wrong.
As long as I am on this earth, this is something I will never understand.
When these kinds of days come my way,  I often take timeLighthouse in Oakville Harbour out and observe nature.
Nature just is. It exists in the now. Perhaps that's the key.

Perhaps when we get too far ahead of ourselves and too stressed over what will be, we forget about the 'now' and things begin to go wrong.

My life isn't mine. It belongs to the great mystery, to the universe. The universe decides my path and where I am needed next. I just follow along and do the best I can with what I have.

That's all we can really do.

Anything beyond that just gets mixed up on the journey and we end up going down the wrong road and then have to start out all over again, only this time perhaps our feet are a bit rougher and can take the rugged path and our eyes are a bit keener for spotting the pitfalls along the way.

Through it all, down paths we maybe shouldn't have taken, and those that turn out good, we become more vulnerable and yet stronger.
We learn who we are. What our limitations are, where we can stretch further, where we can't.
Where we're supposed to hang on and where were supposed to let go. Who we can trust and more about how to deal with  those we can't trust.

One day we wake up and know, just know, in our heart of hearts which road to take and when. I guess they call that wisdom.

I hope I do wake up one day and know which road to take Jo. Until then the best I can do is to keep on keeping on.

Malcolm,
Knowing what road to take in different areas of our lives doesn't come all at once. Perhaps you've already reached that point with regards to some things in your life?
