Jeffrey, I enjoyed reading your Localism post on R.D. Keene Park & Boat Ramp. Many years ago our Parks Department began requiring reservations to launch a boat. It looks like all one needs to do is arrive early at the Keene Park boat ramp to ensure a parking spot and boat launch.

Kathleen - The boat ramp at RD Keene is one of only two public access points onto the Butler Chain of Lakes, so it does remain in high demand during the summer months. You are completely correct, boaters should arrive early to ensure a space.

Kathy - Windermere & Dr Phillips have many parks in the area, but this is a local favorite.

Thank you for the comments!
