DECEMBER 1 The Lake Oconee Elks Lodge #2849 will be holding their annual Charity Christmas Turkey shoot at the old Lake Oconee Shooting Club at 631 Sparta Highway. There will be safety instruction for new and young shooters who can also compete in the events. Guns and ammunition will be provided or you may bring your own. All proceeds to benefit the Elks Lodge Charity fund providing aid to the needy, scholarships and a full array of philanthropic endeavors. Festivities will begin at 9:00 am and continue throughout the day, shooting fee of $5.00, children 7-17 shoot and eat free! There will be refreshments, snack bar, and a huge number of prizes.
