Ok, that's just weird. Is someone just copying and pasting comments just to get points??? Sad.
I wonder if one of those was for me.. I hope i didn't write it.. I never copy paste comments though .. so I would hope not.. BUT many are here for a quicky... we all know that!
Awkward. That's something I haven't seen on here yet. It would be better to use no name at all than the wrong name.
Congratulations on completing your 30/30 challenge! I have a few more days to go - I started a few days late but the AR Gods were gracious enough to let me participate anyway as long as I go a full 30 consecutive days. The challenge has helped me commit to blogging regularly and not be paralyzed by my desire to write the perfect blog.
Have a great weekend!
Hilarious Bertha (just kidding Melissa). I don't think I every address my comments to the blogger, although I know that several Active Rainers do....I'm new to the rain, so not sure if I missed that in 'etiquette school'. Thank you for giving me a good laugh this morning and CONGRATS on the 30 day Challenge!
I have two first names so I get called "Tara" all the time. It's annoying, but I totally understand it. Something else I've noticed is that sometimes people use the name of the person who made the last comment rather than the person who wrote the post.
Hi Melissa - with a name like "Grbich" you can just imagine how often people get this one wrong!!! Have a great day . . . Regards Dave
Great post, Mary! Uuuuuuh, I mean Melissa... ;-) Kudos to you for finishing the challenge! A flamed out at day 7 :( Still, there's always next time...
Tamara - I think a lot of times it's like Sharon says. They read the name above, or just aren't paying attention.
Janis - you had commented right before them - again, pretty much exactly what Sharon said. Their comment, however, did not make any sense to what you had just commented.
Julie - good luck! The last few days were about to kill me!
Lanise - I usually do in comments on comments (like now) but only sometimes when I'm commenting on someone's blog. I don't think you missed any training =)
Sharon - I think I might have been guilty of going this a couple of times with you. Especially because for a while Tara Beottger (now I can't even remember her maiden name) used to write in SIF a lot too. At least it still is part of your name though. I'm definitely not Christine or Janis.
Rich - totally agreed. To be honest, my blogging was much better without this challenge, so I don't know if I'll do another one.
Marie - I certainly hope I'm not guilty of having done that! I try to be very careful, like I said, I know that a lof of people have very similar names.
David - Uh, yeah. I always get a "w" on the end of my name too.... My maiden name was Sehmer and the e was always replaced with a c. People do not pay attention.
Sally - look at you sneaking in there... OK, I'm the first to admit that I like to leave the "e" out of your ley ending. UGH!! I think I always at least get the Sally right though =)
I think I have done that. Once I reblogged a post and wrote a nice intro to the wrong person. :(
Dale Carnegie Chapter One! A person's name is the most important thing to them.
Great Blog, Melissa
Thanx for the smile Melissa, I see this every once in a while on my posts. (although it's hard to screw up the name Peg) I always try to take the time to scroll up to look too, but since names are on the bottom of every reply made, I just look for a blue coloured one. I like how you point out the spelling part, I agree, it is very important to each person.
