It's a pretty day out and apparently the pups think so too! That's Eddie and Jake. They are being held inside more lately than usual. It's hunting season and our property backs up to 20 acres of hunting land. Many dogs get picked off in this area. So sad, but true. I have personally lost a dog to a hunter, and not going to even chance it. Our boys stay close to home, but you never know. Not to worry though, they have a wonderful area to run and play and as soon as they finish their chores (yea, right..) they'll be enjoying the fun and sun!

My step daughter puts an orange jacket on her dog, even when they go for walks.

Wow....I was dumbfounded when I read aobut losing dogs to hunters. I like the idea of having the orange jacket -- some kind of reflector. Or light. I use puplight (see https://www.puplights.com/?mid=533136) which cobines relfectors and flashlight in a collar. I want to make sure my doggies can be seen if they get away from me.

Cindy, that's so sad to loose a pet to a hunter (that is of any kind)! Last year my daughters rabbit was hunted by a hawk and killed, it still upsets me having witnessed it! Don't take chances, they are too cute.
