Wassail Days will soon be upon us in the high country of Summit County! Frisco will hold its annual Wassail Days this year from December 8th through December 16th. This is a wonderful celebration of the holiday spirit that Summit County has come to hold high and offer a unique winter wonderland experience! Walk around Main Street in Frisco and take in all the lovely holiday decorations hanging around the town while visiting one of a kind shops and tasting some good ole' warm wassail, an ol english apple cider, with secret ingredients from each participating business to try and win the title!
Through out the days of Wassail there are many fun events for locals and visitors to partake in and enjoy. One of the first on the list this year is the Santa Dash for Cash in which participants dressed up as Santa dash down Main Street to receive a tshirt, hat, stocking with cash, and of course Santa's favorite milk and cookies. Other wonderful events that you should check out for you and your family are the tree lighting ceremony, chili cook off, free tubing one day, breakfast with Santa, lil rascals rail jam, and on the last night some beautiful fireworks over the mountains!
On the last day the votes will be tallied from you and all of the other visitors that tried the different businesses Wassail drink to crown a champion and receive the Frisco Wassail Day Cup! Last years winner for 2011 was the Lost Cajun, and I would imagine they would love to repeat but who will become their competition this year?
Wassail Days is a great time to enjoy Summit County and all it has to offer with such a close community.
