Christmas Fun Runs in Phoenix

It’s not too late to participate in one of the Christmas Fun Runs in Phoenix.  This Saturday, December 15th, you can celebrate by dressing up in your best holiday running outfit and running with all the other santas and other holiday characters at the Jingle Bell Run in Phoenix or the 12ks of Christmas event in Gilbert. Jingle Bell Run

The Jingle Bell Run is a 5km run or walk taking place at Reach 11 Sports Complex, 2425 E. Deer Valley Road in Phoenix.  It’s a 4 Peaks Racing event and you can register at the 4 Peaks Racing website.  If you bring a new unwrapped gift to be donated to Toys for Tots you will be entered into a raffle to win products from sponsors.  Also, if you beat the 4 Peaks Racing Santa to the finish line you will be entered into a draw to win entry into all 4 Peaks Racing events in 2013. 

12 ks of Christmas12k’s of Christmas is an event taking place at Freestone District Park in Gilbert.  There will be a 12km walk/run, a 6km run/walk, and a 1.2km Santa sled run.  There will be Christmas Carolers and performers at the start/finish lines and at every ‘k’.  There will be a Christmas bazaar and a Santa’s Pet Village.  A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control.  Visit the 12krun website for more information and to register.

Carol, how fun!  I didn't plan on doing one this year in Santa Monica.  I think I'm going to next year.  It's a good way to balance all the savory and sweet's foods.  Kristine :)
