I enjoyed this short video of a street musician singing the blues at one of Portland's many outdoor markets. When I was a boy my dad would always take me down to Seattle's Pike Place Market to pick up our fish and vegetables, I was more intrigued by the street musicians.
In many Seattle neighborhoods we are see a popular trend toward the revitalization of the farmers' market. Many neighborhoods like, Ballard, Lake City, Wedgewood, Lake Forest Park have very active seasonal markets.
These markets help provide economic, social and nutritional benefits to the community. I recently found an online survey on a website Community-building.org, what was extremely unique about this survey was they were asking questions like; who is the buyer, what do you want and when do you want it. What a concept.
