is anyone else ready for the paperless revolution to hit full force in the real estate industry?  I know in certain markets it is coming very close, if not there...but in SC, we are far from it.  I look around my office and all i see is file drawers filled with paper, and i am faxing a deal right now of multiple pages to a lawyer that can't have the docs in email/pdf. format.  Electronic signatures are still up in the air, and especially since most clients don't have the tech literacy to open and sign docs and email them back to their realtor.  I hope this becomes easier in the future...for all parties involved, it has too.

In the mid 90's we were told we were moving towards the paperless trend.  I find with more technology and more multiple computer & printer households we have more and more papers!

From what I understand by Nevada law, the broker must hold on to the originals (I could be wrong.)  I don't understand how scanning can help a brokerage in that respect.

I remain skeptical until that day comes.  I will embrace that day but until then..............

Aw Chris - dont'cha know? We're now part of that future we were promised by Microsoft and Mac...a paperless society.  Here in Missouri, our listing contract is six pages!  As a Season Citizen, I recall the 'good ole days' of a one page 'Proposition' with two carbons.    When I compare the two timelines, seems like we're going backwards.

Personally, I can't wait.

We are getting closer and closer, it's just not happening as fast as we'd all hoped!
