Blossoms of Hope in Howard County!
Turf Valley in Ellicott City will soon host the Pink Greens Golf Classic on April 19th, 2013 to benefit the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center at Howard County General Hospital. Turf Valley is home to over 50 gorgeous pink cherry blossom trees - part of a group of over 1,500 trees planted throughout Howard County to both beautify and bring awareness to those battling cancer. 
This is the 5th year for the Pink Greens classic at Turf Valley resort and golf course. Each year hundreds of golfers come out to spend a day playing the lovely course while also supporting those battling cancer.
There are other events throughout the spring that link up with the Cancer Resource Center including a fashion show in April and 5K in May in Historic Ellicott City. Over $175,000 has been raised since the center opened in 1998 and the community continues to support the cause with events, donations and planting of more trees.
