Get healthy in the Rain - An ActiveRain Challenge (3)

I keep reading over the rules for the Get Healthy in the Rain, Challenge Contest.

My Goal is is to loose one pound a week, by eating properly and exercising. 

I started this about 3 weeks ago and at this point, I am still on track.

 

A nurse friend told me about a FREE website called.. http://www.MyFitnessPal.com and I have been tracking my progress on this website.  It tracks my food and exercises.  It is a great program that also lets you print out a diary each days activities and your meals.  Lets you know if you have eaten enough calories or not.

 

I plan to be a new me in about 6 months. 

 

My motivation for this is the fact that we are going on a Transatlantic Cruise in May and I want to be able to put on a bathing suit and enjoy the sun..  I certainly will not be at my goal...but I will feel better about ME...for ME...

Keep up the positivity!  I use an app called Noom on my phone and I love it because it uses your GPS to track your walks, hikes, runs, whatever!  It also counts your steps daily.  It really doesn't matter what you use, just use something!

I am working on myself as well. I was getting too big for my britches. I have managed to drop 21 pounds from January the 8th. I need to drop another 40 or 50.

Joel...You may have needed to gain weight.  You are one of the lucky ones..if that is true.  As I grow older...I become more inactive.  I am trying  to turn that around now with exercise...and diet..

I too have been feeling the need to feel comfortable physically....I managed to do the work from the inside out and surely the physical being has a hand in this too. I have been to the beach, playing with grandson in the sun and this weekend w are going to a cabin on the beach. I support you 100% in your taking the steps for a healthier you!

Sally,  It sounds like you have this in control...I love the workouts that I have with the Grandchildren.  Running on beach, thowing the ball....picking flowers and etc.
