Heavy Winds Throughout Austin Tore Roof Shingles Off Houses

With all those heavy winds we had earlier this week, have you checked around your house to see if there were any issues? Many trees and bushes were split and knocked down. Many roof Shingles were found in the yards.  Don't delay thinking it couldn't happen to you. We found shingles in our yard, but they were our neighbor's who had no idea they had flown off.

Better to double check things now rather than trying to figure out what might have caused the leak in the future.

Donna, those must have been some strong winds. We get that from time to time here where it blows roof tiles off.

It looks like you all had some strong winds lately.

We get the Santa Ana winds every  so often and the most havoc is that heavy load trucks are tossed around like twigs...

One of our fall storms we had many closings delayed as homes needed to be reinspected.  One of mine had to have the sellers escrow funds for roof repairs.  And we were lucky others had entire trees in their homes.

Winds aer always a problem, especially with older roofs. We had a run with hail last fall and many houses had their roofs destroyed. No one can mess with Mother Nature

Yes, the winds were strong, like 60-70 MPH for hours straight. Many trees were uprooted. Many branches were torn off. Many shingles on the ground. Always a good idea to walk your house after anything outside the oridinary.

We had those high winds as well.  That was crazy.  Great post to remind everyone to get this checked out.
