The "Hotel California" Of Maine Real Estate...wait, that's not right

Sitting in an agency wide meeting here at The Maine Real Estate Network, listening to our fearless leader mention how many agents have come to us from other agencies and how none have left us for them, “Hotel California” kept popping into my head.

...they check in, but they don’t check out.

Writing this, I realized that it is probably not the best metaphor.  While I am an Eagles fan, the tone of that one would be a bit too creepy to describe our agency.

We used to be the largest independently owned real estate company in Maine, and now we are simply the largest (and still indepently owned.)  The reasons why people come and why they do not leave for other agencies are both simple and complex.

Does your agency deserve you?The simple side of things boils down to the fact that they will make more money.  For those who like to to reap what they sow, the combination of higher splits and lower costs is too much to resist.  I guess we could use the phrase “resistance is futile,”  but again...too creepy.

The more complex factors really come from one man.  Loni Graiver, founder and owner of the Maine Real Estate Network, has created an environment with such an overwhelming positive vibe that it naturally breeds success.  He has a way of bringing out the best in people and providing the tools and support they will need along the way.

Yes, I’m sure this migration has started to tick off some owners of other national franchise offices in the area.  However, it has raised the bar here in our part of Maine for agencies and their relationship with their agents.  Instead of agency owners wielding all of the power, agents are now asking themselves “does my agency deserve me?”

If you are a Maine Realtor, ask yourself that question and then check out what we like to call “Maine’s coolest real estate agency,” has to offer.   In order to really evaluate the more complex side of things, You should consider joining us for one of our training sessions and then sit down for a chat with Loni.  Who knows?  Maybe you will decide to check in as well.

If you want to just watch us for a while from behind the scenes, go ahead and check out The Maine Real Estate Network facebook page.  When you are ready, give me a call and I can hook you up with a meeting.  207-240-2250
