Take a giant leap into spring by getting dirty in Lake Havasu. The crazy fun that is Mud Madness comes to SARA Park on March 23rd. But, to participate, you'd better sign up now!
The 5K Havasu Mud Madness run starts and ends at Friends of the Fair Rodeo Grounds in SARA Park. The trail will take you through 14 obstacles. Ten of these obstacles will include water in some form or another, so you're guaranteed to stay muddy the whole time. Groups of 50 runners will take off together every 15 minutes. The sooner your register for this Lake Havasu mayhem, the closer to the "front" you will be. It starts off muddy, but the guys who come after the first group get even more muddy as the race grinds on.
To quench each participant's thirst, beverages will be available at the end of the race, including a selection from the beer garden for those runners who are at least 21 years old and have a valid photo ID. Peruse the Lake Havasu City vendor booths as you wind down from your muddy "runner's high". You must be at least 13 years old to participate. The registration fee is $50 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Lake Havasu City Aquatic Recreation & Youth Scholarship Fund as well as the Friends of the Fair. Click here to register.
