Bet You've Never Heard about Reflective Coaching, Have You?

Chances are that you've never heard about what we call Reflective Coaching?

It’s a very interesting and important tool for both the client and the Wealth Coach to use.

Its purpose is to get both on the same track, so that we can jointly identify the client's problems and then go about the process of solving them.

What is usually discovered in this process is that the problem is resisting a viable solution.

Instead, the client has been trying to solve the problem by substituting the same ideas and following the same avenues that have never worked before.

Here’s one that real estate people often do.  They list a house that comes with one or more problems that they know that the market will resist, let’s say it’s overpriced.

Rather than get consensus with the owner to price the property properly or rather than refuse the listing, the agent tries to solve the problem by devoting lots of extra advertising dollars to it and holding one Open House after another.

Neither one or both addresses the problem:  the house is overpriced.

So when I discover a client resisting a viable wealth building program, I must encourage the client to “think the unthinkable," that is to accept and ponder that there actually are other ways that the client’s problem might be solved.

Ways that will work.

Maybe the client sets aside an appropriate amount for savings each month, but frequently raids the account to pay current expenses.  Perhaps the solution is to make the account require two signatures for withdrawals – the client’s and his or her mate.

The client has known in his heart all along that needing the approval of his wife to make a withdrawal would go a long way in slowing down unnecessary withdrawals, but he hasn't wanted to give up the right for it to remain his One Man Band.

His experience has shown him time after time that he hasn't the willpower to resist the temptation, but nevertheless, he falsly assures himself that this month will be different.

Reflective Coaching is a very important tool box of ideas, concepts and ways of getting and measuring results.

The chances are you would dramatically benefit from Reflective Coaching in your wealth building planning and execution.  Now’s the time to get started.  Call me.
