Last Snow of the Season...Only Mother Nature Knows for Sure. Our Cedaredge, Colorado weather can be very unpredictable. Everyone always says, it you don't like the weather wait five minutes and it'll change. After wearing shorts and sandals over the weekend, it was difficult to adjust to the recent weather changes.
This last spring storm took a lot of people by surprise. We've been hearing about snow storms all winter, but we never got any big storms. This one was different. It started out with a lot of rain on Monday and then turned to snow on Tuesday.
This forsythia bush is all ready for spring too, but I don't think the snow is going to hurt it. In town we only got about two inches. But the temperatures dropped down into the teens.
The Cedaredge Chapel of the Cross always look good after a snow, but the robins in the trees don't seem too happy. The snow is making it harder for them to find food.
The Cedaredge Town Park has been a busy place with the warmer spring weather we've had, but no one is there today. The weather is suppose to start warming up, and that will bring the kids back to play.
This area is known for it's exceptional fruit. Apricot trees all over have been blooming. Whether this snow and cold temps will affect the harvest isn't known yet. It got down below 17 degrees at my house last night. This orchard is just a few miles outside of town. These apple trees haven't started to bloom, so the recent storm won't affect them.
