The SANTA CRUZ FIRECRACKER 10K, 5K and Kids Run

As a newer member of the Sunrise Rotary Club, I am proud to share and be a part of this event. It's going to be a great day full of fun. It's that time of year again! Registration is open for this year's race (Thursday, July 4, 2013). But don’t wait, the price goes up on June 4th, 2013, and we anticipate a sell-out this year. Yes, that’s right, we may not have any spots left on Race Day, so SIGN UP EARLY! Mail entries must be received by June 4th, to get the early bird pricing, so SIGN UP EARLY!

As you know this race is a local hit, and the first 850 entries are guaranteed the coveted Firecracker T-shirt, so SIGN UP EARLY!

2013 Firecracker Details

Breakfast after an awards ceremony that features medals to the top five in five-year age groups!

Now in its fourth year, the flat, fast 5K course will be certified this year and modified to an out and back route that eliminates the third loop. The new course is great for runners and walkers of all ages and still fantastic for spectators!

As always, the little kids can join in an exciting 1K fun run that starts 30 minutes before the main event, just outside the back of Costco on Harvey West Boulevard.

7:00a – Registration opens
8:00a – Kid's 1K run/walk
8:30a – Firecracker 5K run
8:30a – Firecracker 10K run
