Speechlesss Sunday Spring

Spring brings many things. Some of the things Spring brings are blooming flowers, festivals, butterflies, little birds, and the Boston Marathon. Everyone across the globe is paying tribute and honor to the people of Boston, the victims and the all of the efforts of law enforcement to bring the perpetrators down. The Runners at the London Marathon started with a moment of Silence. Many of the London Marathoners wore black armbands in a show of solidarity. It was a defiant mood at the London Marathon, one that I personally share with the runners and spectators. One of the runners stated “It means that runners are stronger than bombers.” I love that attitude.

More than any other spring this is Spring a time for renewal, a time for birth, but most of all this Spring is a time for healing. Let us not forget the victims and keep them in our prayers throughout the year. I want to thank all of the law enforcement agencies for working together and getting those bastards.

Yolanda,

Great blog and I will suggest. Terrorists are in my mind just total cowards. Runners will always be tougher and stronger than these bastards..

I admire the sentiments you express, and the pinkness of all those wonderful blossoms, which accompany it, Yolanda!   As for the terrorists, it is difficult to understand what motivates certain individuals to perform such heinous acts.  I had to smile at a neighbor that brought up a little bit of irony yesterday.  He said, "Can you imagine what it must be like to be a Muslim terrorist, and find yourself being cared for at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston?  That particular hospital was founded by the Jewish community."

I should also add that the images of devastation in Waco, from the fertilizer plant explosion are astonishing!  It is being reported the stockpile of chemicals was over 1300 times legal limit. . .Unbelievable, until you see the images of the damage to apartments, homes and other structures.  There was also a greater loss of life in Waco in comparison to Boston.
