My friend Richie made some very good points with this post and I wanted to share them with folks who may not 'know' him...So true!

With all this past and current foreclosure nonsense, litigation, short selling, loan moodifications, and all the rest of it.....one wonders what will become of the Real Estate industry future. This is a fair question and cannot be answered in detail mainly because Real Estate is so vast and also because we are often in the eye of the hurricane unable to see what lies ahead

I will tell you share with you a few things....

1. If we had to pay for all this Real Estate  publicity,, we are talking multi-Billions in dollars spent. I dare say that is conservative. That being said, the subject matter is world famous.....and we (Real Estate agents and professionals) are licensed to do business in it..

2. Good agents that stay the course, that learn the lessons and go with the hurricane flow will become stronger and live longer to do good Real Estate business....less than enthusiastic players will fade away......Gale force winds blow away the casual week-end boater while the sea-loving Captains baton down the hatches and sail on...

3. Only people who make a living doing this will actually follow it, stay with it, and learn form it. They will become masters in navigating through Real Estate cycles and housing fluxes....That's what they do day in and day out...

4. There is a primary force...very strong and deep rooted that will never diminish or go away and it is simply this.....owning a piece of Real Estate is a big deal and a worthy endeavor. It will always make sense for what it was intended to be. That being the case..hold on because people are going to want their little piece of dirt and you are going to help them get it....

5. Those that held on and have property and want to sell will need a seasoned experienced pro to get them in or out of the liquidation process.....Those that want in or want BACK in will need good reliable help too

6. Investors will always need agent and professional services for property management, assemblage of parcels, referrals, sales and clients...

Not all roads are paved......some are bumpy, hilly and have pot holes but.... they teach you to appreciate the paved roads when you find them.....so it is with agents and professionals. When all this Real Estate dust settles, you will see some pretty savvy people out there....
