Congratulations To Me!
We've been enjoying the good life and a good diet, it was the popular 'see food diet'. We see food, we eat food. It didn't matter what it was, cake, chips, burgers, fries. It didn't matter how late in the day or whether we'd just finished a big meal.
There was a problem with this diet plan though, it made our clothes pinch. There was also a more serious problem and even worse than the health problems that would be accumulating.
You see, our grandsons are avid roller coaster riders and they love company on these rides. This is where the serious problem arose. I couldn't get the seat bar in place properly on one of their favourite rides. That meant I couldn't ride, that meant something had to be done.
So we set a goal, to juice for all three meals for 30 days, to lose at least 20 lbs and fit into that Leviathian roller coaster seat! The reward is to ride that 306 ft. roller coaster at a speed of 92 mph with my son and grandsons when the park opens on May 5th.
Well after this April challenge I am down 18 lbs for the month and am pretty sure I will be fitting into that Leviathian seat. (You'll have to check back with us on May 5th to see me ride the coaster)
We didn't make juicing all three meals for the 30 days, food cravings stepped in heavily after two weeks. We caved into the thought of a nice dinner but we are making sure they are healthy dinners with only fish or chicken and lots of steamed veggies and a touch of quinoa.
We have learned a lot from this challenge and will continue our healthy eating habits now that we are so aware of the goodness of it. Who knows, maybe the next video will be from the water park showing off my six pack.
